Hate it When

Don't you hate it when your hubby comes home from work

and says

Wow, you've had a rough blogging day!
Do you want to know my opinion?

You are being petty and angry.

And today you acted to the antithesis of what you want your blog to be:
entertaining, light-hearted, and fun.

And you know he's right.

I hate it when he's right.

And then I don't even want to let him give me that hug that I really want and need,
because somehow he has just become the enemy too.

Breathe Alice.
Breathe.

This too shall pass.

And I can't be too upset that my husband is so smart.
Somehow that reflects good on me.
And let's face it, I need all the kudos I can get right now.

I love you LeGrand,
just as soon as I get home from Pack Meeting,
I will be ready for that hug.

Boy, my life sucks right now.
Blogging smackdown and Pack meeting all in one day.

At least it is raining outside so I don't have to water the lawn.

There's always a silver lining.
And I am doing something right by teaching my kids that
because the other day when Abigail took out her load of lights with inkpen all over everything, do you know what she said?
At least it wasn't my whites.

And she was right.
And she learned that from her mom.
Her mom that was too emotional today.
And too sensitive.

And yes she gets that from me too.
Thank goodness she also has the genius genes from dad.

Wow, there's nothing like life tragedy to bring out the desire to write.
Anyone else have something to dish out?

I think you are great! Don't let other people get you down. Everyone has an opinion and you get to decide whether you want to hear it or not. ;)

Alice, seriously?

You can not let what happened bring you down. Chin up baby girl. I don't know you but I want to hug you. If I had a car I would drive my happy hiney to Utah County and find you. Don't let what other bloggers "TROLLS" say on your blog get you down. They are "TROLLS" they have nothing better to do with their lives except TRY to bring negativity to others, and if that happens they win. Sweet sweet mama. You are "so funny" and that is why we come back. You be you and we (yes all of us) we will continue to read your blog each and every day and look forward to it each and every day. That other "so-called big blogger" deals with so many trolls everyday. you need to keep being you!!!! Please don't let it effect you it is not a good thing and I enjoy you to much to lose you. You bring an open minded outlook to "our religion" I have been inactive for so many years. Recently my daughter was baptized and we struggle with the routine....especially on the summer weekends when there is so much going on. I was so afraid that my links brought them to you! I didn't realize you shared your link with them. I was so ashamed. you are funny AND you are you. keep it up babe, give your husband a hug and a snuggle and be lucky you are who you are. xoxoxoxo from a stranger that loves you.

This post makes me smile... which, happily, is the point of your blog! I've been interested in this recent blog drama because it was about an interesting topic, and because Loralee is my cousin, and because from my outside observation there seems to have been a lot of misinterpretation, side-taking, defense, and overall unnecessary yuckiness on both sides... which is sad. I did just want to say, that THIS blog post I'm commenting on, gives me a lot of respect for you, your husband, and especially your relationship together. So, good on ya! I hope the yuckiness goes away very quickly and your thick skin grows in tan and without wrinkles! :)

P.S. I enjoyed pack meeting in the rain tonight as well! Good times in Utah County.

I think your blog is alot of different things... I like that you add variety to life. The blog title 'I'm So Funny (Sometimes) says it all. WE can't always be funny... but there is more than one side to a person. I think it's well rounded to blog about lots of things.

Just so you know, if I water my lawn earlier in the day, it almost inevitably rains. So if you ever need a pick-me-up and want rain just give me a call and I'll water my lawn for you.
