Kitty Bear likes to watch me blog.
Sometimes other moms will say to me, almost in a derogatory fashion, "I don't know how you find the time to blog so much." Sometimes I get a little sensitive and wonder why they don't just say, "Why don't you do more laundry or spend all your time with your kids?"
I usually just reply with , "I love to blog and so I make time for it." I mean really, why can't moms do things that they love, and why can't they support other moms in doing things that they love, even if it means neglecting their never ending chores sometimes? I think I have just decided that my new reply will be, "I don't know how you find the time to clean and micromanage your kids all day without going crazy."
Sometimes, when I want to blog, I justify it by knowing that it is at least more productive that crawling back into bed. That is what I want to do this morning. Believe it or not, blogging actually will get one more load of laundry done today. When I am done here, I will actually be awake enough to take a detour through the laundry room, even if I do park my tired body back on the couch. I swear I will never get over this sickness...it is as if I could sleep for a week straight.
Besides, if I didn't ignore my children once in a while, they would never have time to do something like this! Look at what they accomplished with just a little neglect. You know I wasn't really paying attention when they pulled this one out. If I wasn't blogging, this would have been put to an end at once. And, if I wasn't a blogger, I wouldn't have grabbed my camera to record it either.
You see, blogging is a really good thing for me and my posterity.
So, what I am really trying to say: I think it is healthy for our kids to have some down time without as much micromanagement....when I support my creative bug, I also support theirs...and this is a good thing, even if the result is a little devilish!
As you can tell, I don't have much to blog about today, so here is my quote of the day:
"I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult." ~ E.B White

Is that lipstick? I love the trouble kids can get into within a few minutes.
I love that you blog it's nice to know that I can check yours and it will be updated on a daily basis. I hate it when people do a monthly update. So boring. :)
I think it's really important to have "me time" whatever it is you do during that time - read, blog, exercise, scrapbook, clean, watch tv. I don't think it matters what you're doing as long as you do something that rejuvinates YOU as a person so you can be a better mom.
oh my gosh! I found you through mamahood and I have to say Hale ye Hale ye!! way to go sistah! I feel the same way. 'cept I wanna say, .... OK, I better not. LOL
Love your blog.
That picture of the girls is so great! LOL That looks like it would be hard to clean off -- it reminds me of Violet in Willie Wonka when she turned into a blueberry! LOL Are your girls their normal color again?
And I have to say Kitty Bear looks mighty content watching you blog!
You're allowed to blog -- and not allowed to let anyone make you feel bad about it. Moms NEED time to do what they enjoy or they go crazy (yes, I'm speaking from experience!) -- and Moms should support each other in that.
Hope you feel better very soon! Sorry you've been feeling so icky!
What is that?? They're like the blue guy, only red (have you seen him?). You have to be careful with those supplements you know.
Your blogging makes me have a better day too.
Why would anyone even care how much you blog? And i agree that blogging is way more productive than some things you could be doing, so keep it up, I like to read it. As for the lipstick on the face! That is hilarious, where was Sophia during this mischief? Bella does look a little scary pulling that face, and I am sure Abigail had something to do with the whole of it. That is just how first children are right? They are cute and they do need to express themselves creatively and so do you. Keep bloggin!
blogging is more productive then a lot of things you could be doing. and a lot more productive then a lot of things I do as well :-)
You keep getting more and more bloggers!!!
I love blogging too! Not only writing but reading about other people's experiences and learning from them.
Please don't stop.
I say blogging at least keeps you in the home. And it's a free hobby. I tell my hubby this all the time because he goes here and there and everywhere to accomplish his hobbies... for mine, I don't need someone to tend my child. Liam is either asleep or busy playing while I blog.
I say, "to blog".
For some people, one post takes a couple hours. For others, 5 minutes.
People have asked me the same question. My answer is this:
When I live clear across the country from all family and I have no friends blogging is what I do.
Plus, I have gotten really good at doing it all with the one hand occupying a cranky toddler, my second hand feeding a baby. My third hand only has time to blog.
I agree with gina. It's free--so why not!!! And, I like what kathy said about doing something that rejuvinates you.
