Laugh Out Loud

Thanks to Jennifer
for facebooking  this one
from Crossville, TN.

Living vicariously
here in Utah,
is the only way
I can get my
church sign fix.

There are so many things I miss about the South.
My in-laws.
My sister.
My friends.
The kids' schools
and the familiar faces there.

Today I am really missing
Sister Schubert's rolls.

Yesterday the girls were
making a fuss over a bug that
got into the kitchen.

LG reasoned with them.
"C'mon guys,
you grew up in the South,
this little bug is nothin'."

I made a mental note
to enjoy Utah's
buglessness
a little more.

  1. Sister Schuberts rolls are in the freezer section at walmart. I promise. discovered them while living in cleveland :) we have to purchase many tins of them. one is NOT enough!
also, the church at the bottom of the hill on state street coming from lindon into pleasant grove will have funny church sayings occasionally. check 'em out!

  5. Oh thank you Loralee and Janice. I will check it out.

In TN, at Sam's, they have huge bags of 30-40 rolls for like $6. Once I discovered them I started baking rolls half as much..they are just as good if not better than mine.

And I have taken pictures of the very sign you speak of Loralee, but it hasn't been too funny yet.

  8. Your kids' school misses them too! Hope all is well with the Gold family. I love that we can keep up with you through your blog and Facebook. Tell the girls Mrs. Durfee says hello and sends a hug!
