I am going to try and share the little tidbits from time to time, and of course, I will add my opinion to go with it.
Just in case you want to read the whole book yourself, it is called Really Important Stuff My Kids Have Taught Me. The author is Cynthia Copeland Lewis.
So on to #1
Jump right in or you might change your mind about swimming.
I live by this philosophy. Sometimes it gets me into things that I regret, but because I tend to jump into it and not look back, I get a lot done.
When you jump in wholeheartedly, you can't back out. Are you midjump in something that you need to fully commit to?
Me personally, I need to jump into a freezing cold shower this morning to wake me up.
That is an amazing photo... that maybe could use a little background information. I love the photo just want the story behind the photo.
ReplyDeleteI have always been a little hesitant about jumping right in... not always that way but life has changed the way I do things.
ToOdLeS.
It depends. I'm super cautious making friends. I tend to be a freak magnet.
ReplyDeleteI am learning however to have faith and perhaps go about things with a little less thinking and a little more preparation.
Anyone who knows me knows Im terrified of water that I cant see the bottom of. That & man made structures & water such as bridges, piers & the like. Last summer I stood on a rock trying to talk myself into jumping into a pretty deep spot in the smokies. I had this whole conversation with myself that went something like this...."the bible says do not fear, God might ask you into much scarier situations this, will you take the leap when he calls?" At that I jumped cannonball style into my fears. It was theraputic & Ive found that most of life comes down to that one deciding moment.. are you willing to jump & leave the rest to God? Let me just say I had more fun that day than in my whole life. The point of all this is swimming is fun when you know who your swimming with & a whole lot less scary if you just take the plunge.
ReplyDelete1. It's great to have you blogging more often!
ReplyDelete2. I've been enjoying the book reviews.
3. That photo is awesome! What the heck is going on?
I love the picture....Can't wait to hear more. I learn a lot from my kids.
ReplyDeleteOh no matter how tired I am I will never jump into a cold shower!!!
