I now have a very intimate connection to this scripture:
John 16:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations LG! That is very exciting. Now life as a lawyer can begin for real! YAAAA!
ReplyDeleteAlice, I feel like I am crying right along with you! OH my heck woman! you are going to run off the road one of these days. I so felt your pain, sorrow and joy and excitement just by looking into your eyes. It flashed me back 10 years ago when my dh graduated! He did so well. He made deans list and would have been cumlaude, yeah can you tell I only had one year of college? Anyway, had we not had a baby his last year of school. It was so hard on us. WE were so poor and had babies to feed and bills to pay. But, he worked 60 to 80 hours a day and took 18 credits in 3 days a week of school. ( I couldn't work with bed rest and then if I had with 2 kids, my measley check would have only left us with $25 left over after paying child care) When we could see the light at the end of the tunnel it was so overwhelming and sweet! We set our goals high. We knew we wanted to be hired by one of the top accounting firms in the world. With that took dedication, perserverance, faith, and prayer.
ReplyDeleteYour family will be so richly blessed even more so. It will be all worth it! Just keep God first and all else will follow. What type of lawyer is he?
CONGRATULATIONS!! Yes! Let your real grown-up life begin!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Congratulations for you guys.
ReplyDeleteHooray! Except for we weren't one of the calls to hear it. We had to read it on your blog.
ReplyDeleteThat's great. I know how stressful these times can be and seriously feel relief for you.
ReplyDeleteBe careful Alice!
WOO HOO!!! Congrats!! I think maybe you should be careful when you drive though...I agree with your MIL :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your hubby!! I can't imagine the sacrifices you have made leading up to this!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to LG! Laura is right, we should definitely have a party...the Spring Picnic doesn't count.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever think maybe you should pull over to the side of the road instead of DRIVING, crying, talking, and photographing? No? I'm sure I wouldn't have either!
LG told me today at church that now it's on to Step 2-whatever that is! (His words)
Woo Hoo!! That is awesome... although I would rather he pass the UT bar and you move back into our neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteKnee driving...really?
AWESOME!!! When things like this happen I always think back when my mom wold say to me "and this too shall pass." I can imagine how hard and so fulfilling. Now-on to the next chapter in your lives! YEAH!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, LG! That is so exciting and totally worth shedding tears of joy over! So happy for all of you!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Thats great! Congratulations. Wow, Legrand Gold, that is one distinguished sounding name. His name just says he will accomplish things. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteCongrats again to you! My husband passed the bar back in the day when you had to WAIT for the test results in the mail... they sent them to our old address. He actually called the post office to find them, have them pull them out, drove 45 miles to said post office... and when he saw that he passed jumped up and down screaming in said post office.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good feeling. Isn't it!
Congrats again! Let real life begin!
